Why limit any opportunity to meet a man who could give me what I dream of…love and a family." This adventurous philosophy led 29-year-old pediatric physical therapist Trista Rehn to the hit reality series The Bachelor. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Trista was an outgoing tomboy who excelled in soccer, swimming and softball. Her family moved to St. Louis when she was just four, but by age 11 her parents divorced. Although she was an only child, she spent countless hours with neighboring families and developed strong relationships that continue even today. Trista graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Exercise Science. In 1995 she was accepted at the University of Miami, where she pursued her Masters and graduated with honors. Her passion for dancing led her to audition — successfully — for the NBA's Miami Heat dancers. She spent two seasons on their squad while maintaining a full-time job at Miami Children's Hospital. Now living in Colorado with her chosen, firefighter Ryan Sutter, Trista prepares for the next chapter in her fairytale romance — the wedding of a lifetime. Ryan The Groom When Trista Rehn fell in love with Ryan Sutter on The Bachelorette, millions of television viewers fell in love with him too. Sutter, the shy, soft-spoken firefighter from Vail, Colorado, won her heart with his sensitivity, romantic nature and poetic skills. Sutter was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied architecture and played football before graduating with a Bachelors degree. He then played professional football for two years in the United States and for a season in Spain, playing for the Barcelona Dragons. An injury ended that career, but led to his current career as a firefighter in Vail. Today he spends his free time with Trista, the woman to whom he very publicly pledged his love, and also running with his dog, Natasha.
