They had 5 bachelors that the show producers had narrowed it down to. All very nice looking... a couple seemed to be a little arrogant(they didn't choose them as the final guy). They showed a clip from each of the guy's life, work, hobbies, home & a short interview with them talking. Then they chose one guy at the end. They chose Aaron! A banker from Springfield, MO who likes to water-ski & is a licensed pilot. They showed him cleaning his kitchen with his shirt off... He is quite a HOTTIE! He can come clean my kitchen any day!!! ;) He also seemed to have the best personality of the 5 choices. Very down to earth! They also named the 25 women that will be on the show. Of course all were thin & pretty! One I noticed had bleached white blonde hair that looked like a BAD PERM!! Looked like a straw wig!!! Anyway... I won't be familar with the girls until they actually start seeing Aaron. I guess that will all be next week. Also they had an interview with Trista, she is going to be the Bachelorette when they do that show! Hopefully that brings you up speed... If you have any questions, let me know. You better set your VCR for next week... in case you don't get home in time. Good for you that won't miss church for a TV show!! Hi Psichick! There was also an interview with Alex and Amanda. It is hard to describe the interview, but Amanda did all the talking as usual. Oh..the main point seemed to be that Alex is not gay. I thought they should have ignored that whole thing. No mention of engagement or marriage coming up. Amanda recommended to the next Bachelor (Aaron) not stick his tounge down every girls throat like Alex did...but from the cuts from the next show, it looks like Aaron does even MORE of it! Thanks I am not watching the shows as the bachrlor is such a arrogent jock and is obviously being scripted at times, like Alex. Surely no one beleaves this guy is writing alone the transcript for his diary, or saying things like Alex did by himself. I'm from Missouri, it is embarrasing, sleeping with three women is not the norm or excepted norm here in Missouri. For women that this Bachelor is "for them", there are different tastes and that is OK. However, the 25 excellent women on the show are essentially getting the "short end of the stick", due to the casting of the bachelor; unless their motives allow them and make it OK to them, to ""make out"" with this guy "big time" on national TV. You know me as the "grung" [respect102002], I'll keep in touch, happy posting. Maybe it's just my dream, but I would love to see just one of these woman not get caught up in the competition and say, "he's not my type, so I don't want to keep going". It seems they are all caught up in the dream of falling in love and getting married...the dream of being the chosen one. I'd like to believe that Anindita did the things she did because she didn't like him. Perhaps because she thought he was full of himself and she should put him in his place....but most of all because she didn't see him as someone she wanted to spend her life with and she didn't have to pretend to be something she wasn't in order to win the final prize. As you can see in your post down it is from post1987 or someone like that replying to your other post replying to my post. I was born in Kentucky and raised in Alabama and have lived all through out this country of ours from the deep south to New York to Los Angeles and many many places in between in my travels with work and so forth. So trust me when I say that I have met many Aaron's and I have met many Anindita's as well lol I don't think a person can sit here and say "they won't accept me" without researching it by asking questions and actually getting answers to those questions without pre-judging. "IF" that is why she left and all then she pre-judged the same way she is feeling they will pre-judge her. You know what... you are right MOST families of the "southern" or "midwestern" *values* or whatever would not accept her just as a lot of families from her culture would have found it a bit hard to accept Aaron. It is two way street. Because of the "norm" way people do things so many people get pre-judged. Now I judged Anindita by her actions not by how she looked or her heritage or where she comes from. I thought she was cute and didn't really get a bad vibe from her at all the first week and then the second week before she ever turned Aaron down, I knew she was way too trouble stirring and vindictive to be "the one".... If she had handled it the way that Frances did I would not have had a problem with her leaving but it was the WAY she copped the attitude while leaving that confirmed to me that she has too much attitude for her own good. My question is also this.... if she really thought that type of family would have trouble accepting her.... then why did she even stay the first week. She said on the morning show that she asked him about this the first night before the rose handing out had been done. I think she knew she had played the hateful card when stirring trouble in front of Aaron with Christi and Suzanne and that there was no way she would get a rose and that is why she left this week. If she truly wanted to be all self "wonderful" then she would have left LAST WEEK. Do I find him attractive? yes... Do I think he can be funny? yes... Do I think he has a great zest for life in doing sports and so forth? yes... do I think I would move to Missouri for the guy? No.... I never knew that! Missouri is the midwest, not the south. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. > I still don't get that Frances had any complex other than "I don't >want to be here... he is not the one". Well, being that I currently live in SF, it's just a hunch I have. SFers can definitely be a self-absorbed, arrogant bunch of people IMHO. On top of that, a certain asian section of them can be very sensitive, so much so that they can raise the race card for whatever reason. Anybody ever see that Seinfeld episode where Seinfeld asks the Chinese mailman where a Chinese restaurant is, and gets yelled out because he shouldn't assume a Chinese person knows? And Seinfeld replied that he asked because he was a mailman and knows the area. This applies to the indian chick as well for sure. Just my 2 cents. 171 From: ~Hope~ Date: Fri Oct 11, 2002 11:05am Subject: Re: Re: Anindita Well I need to correct myself then.... I felt bad for Frances because she was like I gave it a try but I'm soooo outta here lol As for the hairspray lol any IDIOT knows that is STUPID if you even remotely have fair skin lol I mean could they not tell they were baking better than Betty Crocker out there? ----- Original Message ----- From: Connie To: The_Bachelor_Club@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, October 10, 2002 10:44 PM Subject: [The_Bachelor_Club] New Member thoughts Hi everyone. My name is Connie and I just joined. I did not watch the first one. I thought the show was so stupid I mena one man 25 women, come on make it any more sexist?? But this bachelor has my interests. he seems a little kinder than the first one and I have watched the 2 episodes and love it. This last one when he picked the 10 I was on the edge of my seat. Anindita, or however you spell her name was a outgoing thing but I think I agree with her. I do not like Christy at all. I think Anindita was speaking the truth, Christy is staking claim on him and anyone else is just useless She treated Suzanne badly and was so all over Aaron I wanted to puke. Then the tears, oh come on. Tears will win a man over fast. She is playing them all so hard. I hope she is ditched in the next round so fast it makes her whiney head spin. I think so far my ongoing favs are Helene and Brook and Heather, can't remember which place she is from but she is the dark headed one that sprayed whineyy with the lotion that burned her, such a good move btw...lol I think Andita leaving was a good idea, she seems less interested than anyone, and Francise well she just was there not a big deal and Aaron did not seem at all interested. I also saw a post on the lilly white world. I don't think that has anything to do with his choices or he would have not picked them in the first round. It is compatability and that is all it is and neither showed enough interest in him for anything. Connie [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo! Anindita Dutta, a corporate lawyer from New York, was the first to pipe up and tell Aaron Buerge that he could save his roses, but while he's a great guy he's not the man for her. "I had a great time," Dutta tells the New York Post. "I learned a lot. I learned that I could not share a man with other women as they were." Dutta says her decision to leave came after seeing a fellow contestant openly weep and grasp at Dutta's hand. Realizing that she wasn't as emotional involved as others, she thought it would be best to call it a day. Nor did she choose the Rose Ceremony, where "The Bachelor" decides who he wants to invite to stick around, for maximum impact. "My feeling was, the Rose Ceremony is where he tells us if he wants us to stay or not, so I felt it was the perfect place for me to do the same," Dutta says. (\~~/) Cheers!
