The Bachelor 7 Charlie O'Connell About the Show: ABC's hit romantic reality series, "The Bachelor," will kick off a new season with Charlie O'Connell in his hometown of New York, New York. The seventh edition of "The Bachelor" will premiere with a two-hour special. Charlie O'Connell is a financially secure 29-year-old jack-of-all-trades who enjoys a fantastic lifestyle and a love for life that is contagious. Charlie, a self-described fun loving "good guy," has long cherished his carefree bachelor lifestyle. However, amongst 25 beautiful bachelorettes, is there one girl who can stop Charlie in his tracks and inspire him to settle down? While he grew up in New York City, Charlie currently splits his time between both coasts. For the last eight years Los Angeles has been his main residence, where he lives with his older brother, actor Jerry O'Connell. He also spends much of his time at his family's home in Montauk, Long Island with his parents, whose marriage of over 30 years serves as the model relationship Charlie so desires. This season will be unlike any other on "The Bachelor," as we strip down some of the formalities and offer viewers a less structured version of the program. On the first day there will be no limos, no gowns and no traditional rose ceremony. This time there are no rules and anything can happen, as we give Charlie the opportunity of a lifetime to discover if love is out there waiting for him. Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Telepictures Productions. Mike Fleiss ("High School Reunion") is the executive producer. Lisa Levenson and Scott Jeffress are co-executive producers. Episode 1 Air Date: 03/28/2005 The Bachelor is back! Only this time, the quest for love is taking place in the Bachelor's Manhattan hometown -- a first. Plus, he's not your typical Bachelor, and there are some major changes to the time-tested format of searching for the One in a whirlwind of romantic fantasy dates. Host Chris Harrison gets things started by clueing us in on some changes. First, roses can be handed out at any time -- not just at the venerable Rose Ceremony. Similarly, the Bachelorettes can be sent home at any time -- not just at Rose Ceremonies. This time, anything can happen. The biggest sign that the old ways are being shaken up is with the traditional introduction to the Bachelor. It's early in the morning and the Bachelorettes are fast asleep in their Manhattan hotel rooms. They believe they'll be meeting the Bachelor tomorrow night -- but they're wrong. The sleeping beauties are given a rude awakening as producers pound on doors and deliver the news: they have five minutes to pull themselves together and get to the ballroom downstairs, where they'll meet the Bachelor. The ballroom doors will LOCK if they don't get down there in time. Chaos ensues. Incredulous, sleepy, unshowered and in their PJs, they frantically wash their faces and brush their teeth. A stopwatch is used to time them. Meanwhile, Host Chris meets our Bachelor -- Charlie -- at his actual Manhattan home to take him to the hotel. Girls are now running for the elevator in their bras, slapping on mascara, throwing on underwear and forgetting their shoes. In a mad dash for the ballroom, some miss the elevator and must run down nine flights of stairs. One woman, a model named Danushka, makes it a point to stroll. She doesn't run for men. She manages to slip in right before the doors close. Thankfully, there's a breakfast buffet to help calm the Bachelorettes down. Some women look fully made up, while others are barefoot, in pajamas and without makeup. A video introduction featuring Charlie is shown, where it's revealed that Charlie has a famous older brother, a well-known actor. The girls are impressed and coo. Charlie makes his grand entrance. Host Chris says that dating is all about first impressions, and they're going to start right now with a speedy round of rapid dates. Each woman will get two minutes with Charlie. He will have two roses to give out ahead of the traditional Rose Ceremony. Immediately, the women begin brainstorming on how they can make an impression and get a rose. Charlie gets settled in a private lounge area with two roses in a tray and a timer that he must reset with each Bachelorette. One by one, the women filter in. Anitra sashays in, strikes a pose in a little white baby-doll dress, and tells Charlie she can't hug him because she didn't shower. She doesn't get a rose. Carrie comes next, insisting on hugging him instead of shaking his offered hand. She gives him an unidentifiable flower that she's poached from a hotel arrangement. Jenny challenges him to a champagne chug. She moves in close, asks him what he wanted to be as a kid -- but the timer starts beeping. They hug and kiss but she leaves without a rose. Kristen, a first grade teacher, bonds with Charlie over the fact that his mom's a teacher too. Brenda tells him she's got a motorcycle. Kristina is less than fascinating in their meeting and knows it. Kimberly seats herself on his lap. She's wearing a skimpy bikini top and her shirt is completely unbuttoned. Charlie is mesmerized. Krisily tells Charlie that she can be bitchy. He glimpses her tattoo and says it's a sign she's willing to make mistakes. Still in her pajamas, Kyshawn and Charlie shoot questions at each other. Tattoos or piercings? Charlie picks piercings. Bad breath or snotty nose? Kyshawn picks snotty nose. Charlie lets her smell his breath. Still no rose. Siamara, who's Spanish, speaks with Charlie in Spanish. Emilie and Charlie thumb wrestle. Debby and Charlie samba. The roses stay put. Sarah W. chats with him easily. She tells him she's an extreme sports girl and shows him some of her scars. He points out what looks like a hickey on her shoulder, but she insists it's a spider bite. Charlie gives her a rose. She's ecstatic. When she returns to the ballroom, the other women look on enviously. Jealously, they ask how she did it. Danushka just knows the last rose is for her. Next up is Kristine. She tells Charlie she's a swimsuit model and slithers out of her dress to show off her teeny tiny coral bikini. She announces that she wrote him a poem, which she removes from one cup, and cuddles next to him in her bikini to read to him. He puts his head down on her shoulder, but he's clearly not listening. When her time is up, Charlie gives her a flower from the hotel arrangement behind them in lieu of a rose. She takes off her bikini top and hands it to him. He's very happy. Geitan announces herself by clucking loudly like a chicken. She sits on his lap, and they make monkey noises together. Katie tells him boldly that she'd rather kiss him than talk to see if they have any chemistry. Charlie readily agrees and they kiss. He later admits that he didn't feel anything, although Katie herself seems to be smitten. Gina Marie, a retired NFL cheerleader, kicks high for Charlie. Valerie shows him her belly button ring, as well as a tattoo that's very far downtown. Sarah B., a delivery room nurse, shouts with Charlie to "Push." They hug, but Charlie's unimpressed with the strength of her hug, calling it wimpy. Kara is a proper Southern girl -- but at the last second, recites the well-known Las Vegas slogan to Charlie: What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Charlie is intrigued. Kerry, a self-proclaimed adventure girl, chats with Charlie about sailing and other sports. He gives her a rose, which thrills her. When she returns to the ballroom, the other girls are clearly upset. Megan asks him about giving away all his roses, but Charlie reassures her that there's plenty of time and roses left. Kindle, a cheerleader, shoots the breeze with him. Last but not least, Danushka saunters in, sunglasses glued on. He goes through her purse. She tells him she has no bra or underwear on. Charlie's thinking he may fall in love. Then Host Chris brings Charlie a stack of labeled photos of all the Bachelorettes. He tells Charlie that he must decide right then and there to send five women home. He then goes into the ballroom to tell the girls while Charlie shuffles through the pictures, trying to pick out the ones to send home. Everyone is stunned, and Charlie feels awful. In the ballroom, he calls out the names of the five he's letting go: Kristina Heather Brenda (who accuses Charlie of not liking brunettes) Debby Katie (clearly there was no chemistry from their kiss) The remaining 20 women move into their New York brownstone in Lower Manhattan. There they find bedrooms crammed with multiple bunk beds and shared bathrooms. It looks like summer camp, and some women can already sense it's a recipe for disaster. Host Chris walks in to inform the Bachelorettes of the latest development: three group dates, with two roses available during each date. Charlie will call to schedule the dates, but the girls will decide amongst themselves who will go. Women start hovering over the phone, waiting for it to ring. Geitan snags the first call from Charlie, who tells her he's going to pick up five girls to play pool. Five women immediately raise their hands and are designated the first group to go on a date. When Charlie arrives downstairs, Kindle -- who was not of the original five -- sneaks out and slips into the van before the others emerge from the brownstone. Carrie is left standing out in the cold, angry and in shock. At a dive bar -- a natural environment for Charlie, who wants to see how the girls fit in -- he and the Bachelorettes shoot pool. Kindle and Charlie go off for some alone time. He thinks she's a firecracker for sneaking in on the date. She tells him she's really very nice and not usually prone to stunts like that. Upon discovering she's a professional cheerleader, Charlie challenges her to a dance-off. He then excuses himself to get drinks -- and a rose. Kindle is triumphant. Anitra and Charlie chat. She admits to being shy. Kristen takes him aside and asks him straight out for a rose. Charlie is put off by that. Emilie also asks for a rose. Charlie gives the rose to Anitra because she didn't ask for it. Upon their return from the group date, Carrie sees Kindle with a rose and is very upset. For the next group date, Siamara picks up on Charlie's call. She teams up with Krisily and tells the others that Charlie's given them authority to choose the eight for this date. They select the ones they think won't give them competition. But 11 people wind up dressed to go out -- not eight. Charlie arrives and Siamara picks out girls in front of him. The ones remaining can't protest her decisions in front of Charlie and are left disappointed. Gina Marie is especially upset because Siamara had initially told her that she would be going. The others try to console her -- at least he got to see her. At a bar, there's lots of drinking and dirty dancing. Kyshawn asks him how he feels about interracial dating. He's down with it. Siamara confides that she tricked the other girls into letting her pick. Charlie's amused. Krisily asks him what he's looking for. He answers, Fun. Then they kiss. Kristine, of coral bikini fame, tells him that in addition to being a swimsuit model, she's also a private investigator for the government. Charlie finds that odd. She asks to kiss him on the cheek, which he allows. She then asks to hug him. They sit for a while in an awkward, long embrace. Back at the house, the others convince the very upset Gina Marie that she should just crash the group date. Off she goes in a cab. Meanwhile, the group date has progressed (regressed?) to body shots, with the first one off of Krisily. After licking her belly, Charlie gives her a rose. Sarah W., who already has a rose, makes out with Charlie. Geitan is feeling very uncomfortable with the whole scene. Gina Marie walks in, much to the fury of the others. She takes Charlie aside for some alone time. Geitan announces that she can't go on with this and starts crying. She feels the whole thing is demeaning and that she's clearly not the girl for Charlie. He walks her out and she takes off in a cab. Charlie decides not to give anyone else a rose, given the circumstances. Sarah B. thinks the last rose would've been hers. The next day, Charlie calls the six remaining girls for a rock climbing date. But first, they play some volleyball. During a break, he and Jenny have an easy, relaxed conversation, which leads to him giving her a rose. Kara confides to Charlie that she has a 9-year-old daughter. She's a 26-year-old single mom. Charlie's blown away. At their first meeting, Charlie had enjoyed having Kimberly sit on his lap in her bikini top and open shirt. He wants to see if they get along. After a brief chat, he gives her a rose as well. It's finally time for the Rose Ceremony. The women who already have roses are seated to one side: Sarah W., Kerry, Kindle, Anitra, Krisily, Jenny and Kimberly. The remaining women stand in front of Charlie. Host Chris tells everyone that before Charlie hands out roses, they're free to speak their minds to him and each other. And before they do that, an announcement: Geitan is back. She walks in, much to everyone's amazement, and explains to the others that she felt uncomfortable on the group date at the bar -- but has decided to give things another try. Krisily reminds her that she said Charlie wasn't for her. Geitan concedes, but says she prejudged him and wants to give them both a chance to get to know each other. Sarah B. chimes in, saying she had a great time at the bar, and wants a rose. Charlie's asked what he's looking for, since he gave roses to such a diverse group of woman. On the spot, he stammers out a lame answer. Danushka says something snippy, and Krisily snaps back. Soon there's a verbal cat fight going on. Host Chris tries to calm things down. Kristine tells Charlie that his name is written on her heart. After the women are back in their corners, Charlie hands out the remaining roses to: Sarah B. Kara Carrie Gina Marie Megan Kristine, the coral bikini model, is devastated. Tears run down her face. She's in love with Charlie and wishes that he would've said "I love you" back to her. Charlie's just unnerved by the whole thing. Twelve women are left. Who will be next to go? With this Bachelor, anything can happen! Episode 2 Air Date: 04/04/2005 Twelve women remain in the house, and the tension is high. Krisily is upset with Kerry, and Kerry isn't sure why. Krisily thinks Kerry is intimidated by her because Kerry's "32 and looks it," while Krisily is only 25. She confronts Kerry about it, telling her she was rude during the Rose Ceremony and had overheard Kerry badmouthing her. Upset, Kerry denies instigating anything and protests that she never said anything bad about Krisily. Anitra, listening to the two women have it out, knows that Kerry isn't quite telling the truth -- Kerry and Kindle had dished about how they wouldn't do body shots like Krisily. Meanwhile, Charlie's in his apartment playing with photos of the Bachelorettes. Using a black marker, he's added sunglasses to Danushka's picture and is making her portrait fight with pictures of the other women. Host Chris arrives at the women's flat. He tells them there will be two individual dates this week, as well as a 10-person group date. But there's a dangerous twist: the sudden death one-on-one date. At the end of each one-on-one date, Charlie has the option of giving out a rose. If he doesn't, the Bachelorette must go home right then and there. The idea stuns the women into silence. The first two Bachelorettes to go on individual dates were determined by experts who examined everyone's applications and chose the women most compatible with Charlie: Megan and Sarah W. Charlie calls and asks Megan to dinner first. She agrees, then packs up her suitcase as now required for individual dates. If the date doesn't go well, her bags will be ready to go by the door. Megan decides to take drastic action. It seems to her that Charlie is partial to blondes, so she calls Cesar, one of Manhattan's top stylists, to come to the house and transform her into a blonde. Krisily says it's a sign of her insecurity and believes Megan won't be coming back tonight. When Megan emerges from her beauty session for her date, the women exclaim over her new look. After she leaves, however, they rip her apart, saying her hair isn't truly blond -- it's frosted at best. Charlie is surprised but tells her she looks fantastic. They go to dinner at a steakhouse, where a rose sits in a silver tray on the table. Throughout the meal, Megan seems to be hyper aware of the rose's presence. She tells Charlie she really likes him, but Charlie calls her on it and says he thinks she'd go for any guy who happened to be the Bachelor. She protests, but he seems unconvinced. He decides not to give her a rose, feeling that she's too young to know who she is. The blonding of her hair is a bad sign -- it's only giving him what he wants. Megan cries -- she can't understand what happened. Back at the house, the driver appears at the door and wordlessly carts Megan's bags away. The women watch in shock. Many of them hadn't bothered to say goodbye to Megan, positive that she'd return. It's time for Sarah W.'s date. She packs up her bags and puts up her hair in curlers. When quizzed by the others on kissing Charlie, she admits their make-out session was hot. Charlie calls and asks her out for beers. Sarah makes sure to use her seductive breathy voice while on the phone. She just wants to have fun and doesn't want to strategize or worry about getting cut. Charlie and Sarah W. take a water taxi to the Brooklyn Brewery, across the river. They tour the microbrewery and sample beer. Charlie gives Sarah a mock tour of the facilities, much to her amusement. Meanwhile, the women decide to have a pajama party. They order sushi and playfully reenact the infamous body shot with whipped cream and shots of milk. Kimberly plays the part of Charlie and Kindle pretends to be Krisily. Krisily takes the teasing in stride. At the microbrewery, Sarah W. and Charlie hang out, eating pizza. They talk about family and the rose is never mentioned. Charlie feels like he's on a real date and loves it. He brings Sarah W. the rose and she gleefully flings it across the room. The gesture impresses Charlie -- it's a refreshing change from the other women and their obsession with roses. He and Sarah W. make out for a while. Charlie is feeling great. He doesn't think he can sleep that night. Sarah W. also had a great time -- she's so happy to have found a man who's both funny and a gentleman. When she returns to the house with the rose, the other women are clearly jealous of her success. For the group date, Charlie calls the house and invites the remaining ten women to a pool party. There will be two roses to hand out. The women meet Charlie at an indoor pool and strip down to teeny tiny bikinis. Charlie's in fleshy heaven. The Bachelorettes spot the two roses and things start to get competitive. They crowd around Charlie, pepper him with questions, and laugh at everything he says. Operation Flirt is underway. Sarah B. muses out loud whether Charlie and Krisily have a connection. Upon hearing that, Kara wonders if Charlie would like her, since she's so different. She finds Krisily loud and obnoxious, and is surprised when Krisily admits to having already kissed Charlie. Meanwhile, Kerry chats up Charlie at the pool. Back at the house, Sarah W. receives a video message from Charlie on her cell phone. Kara approaches Charlie and asks if he's comfortable with dating a single mom. He seems to be open and sympathetic to her situation, telling her she's brave. He gives Kara a rose and they make out for a while. When the women arrive back at the house with Charlie in tow, Sarah W. is home, knitting a scarf for him. She greets him as if no one else is in the room with them. The other Bachelorettes are not happy to see her -- this is their time with him. Kimberley decides to spice things up. She changes into a revealing hot pink bra top, a matching thigh-cut sarong, and a hot pink do-rag to complete the ensemble. The women are stunned when she emerges. She breezily admits to doing whatever it takes, as there's still one rose left. Charlie asks Kimberley for some one-on-one time. They go off to another room to make small talk, then Charlie fetches the rose, much to the consternation of the others. Upon receiving the rose, Kimberley makes out heavily with Charlie. Meanwhile, the women hide Sarah W.'s knitting from her, saying they want her to sit and talk to them instead of being antisocial. Sarah W. knows it's not because they want her to be social -- it's because they're jealous. She and Krisily have an unpleasant exchange. When Charlie reappears, Sarah W. grabs his hand and leads him off to a bedroom, much to the displeasure of the others. She tries to tell Charlie something but is caught off guard by her emotion. Finally, after saying "like" a million times, she tells him that she's just so happy and glowing after their date the night before. She starts crying, which alarms Charlie. As soon as Sarah W. senses his discomfort, she immediately backtracks and tries to play it cool, but it's too late. Charlie is already wishing she hadn't cried -- it's a sign she's jealous of the group date. The day of the Rose Ceremony arrives. Charlie arrives at the Bachelorette pad to give out the remaining five roses. The three women who already have roses -- Sarah W., Kimberley and Kara -- sit off to the side. The rose-less women stand in front of him, and Host Chris unleashes the Rose Ceremony free-for-all. Carrie starts things off by telling Charlie that she's upset that she hadn't kissed him yet when everyone else had. Host Chris eggs her on and tells her to kiss Charlie now. She steps forward and gives Charlie's lips a test drive. Stirring things up further, Host Chris asks Krisily about what's been going on in the house. Krisily admits there's been drama but announces that she's not there to make friends, she's there to meet a nice guy. Now she has and she wants Charlie to keep her around. Charlie answers he hopes she'll make friends too. Kerry speaks up about the drama. She says there's an instigator who's targeted her and Sarah W., and hopes that Charlie will give roses to those who are there for the right reasons and not destructive ones. Krisily retorts that she's all about being real around everyone -- and not being two-faced. Host Chris tries to drag Sarah W. into the cat fight, but Sarah W. cops out by saying she's a lover, not a fighter -- she wants to "sprinkle fairy dust on everyone." Kindle steps up and tells Charlie that the drama he sees is natural and real because girls will inevitably fight when guys are involved. With that, Charlie hands out the remaining roses to: Anitra Jenny Sarah B. Kindle Krisily Kerry, Carrie and Gina Marie are out. He gives them a brief but to-the-point apology, saying he just connected more with the others. Gina Marie is shocked and upset -- she thought she'd go all the way. She's not ready to leave and cries. Carrie, having gotten her kiss, gives him a quick hug. Kerry, on the other hand, is upset. The other girls have large boobs and aren't smart or nice -- that's why she wasn't picked, she decides. Surrounded by the remaining Bachelorettes, Charlie is pleased to see that they appear happy to be one of eight women dating him -- although he doesn't know any woman in the world who would actually be happy with that situation. But they seem to be, so he's happy too. Will things get smoother from here on out, or will it get even more heated in the house? Find out next week! Episode 3 Air Date: 04/11/2005 Eight women are left, and there are two individual dates as well as a group date on the table. The two Bachelorettes who received roses on the last group date -- Kara and Kimberley -- are slated to get alone time with Charlie. Kara really wants some time with him to figure out what comes next. Kimberley hopes she'll come back from her one-on-one date with Charlie. She wants to wow him and wear something unforgettable -- something that will stand out. She believes the sexier the better. Kimberley tries on a cleavage-revealing bustier top that's cut low and high in all the right places, and pairs it with a low-cut skirt exposing much of her midriff. The other women in the house hoot and holler. Sarah B. wouldn't even wear that outfit in her own home. Charlie calls the house to ask Kimberley on the first date. They're going to an art gallery, and she's excited at the prospect. Jenny and Anitra decide she can't wear her planned outfit to a gallery -- real friends wouldn't let her do that to herself. Jenny is embarrassed for her fellow countrywoman and feels responsible for making sure Kimberley doesn't give New Yorkers the impression that all Canadian women have no taste. They take her aside and attempt to tactfully tell Kim that her chosen outfit is inappropriate for her date. They ask her to visualize the patrons of a gallery, which they characterize as "educated people wearing suits and stuff." Kimberley doesn't appreciate their efforts. She's a big girl and can make her own decisions, and won't let them intimidate her. She responds noncommittally in the face of their concern. But when it comes time for her date, Kim wavers and decides to change. Her new outfit, however, isn't that different from her first choice. She's switched to a black dress with a low cut neckline and its skirt cut nearly to the crotch, paired with a black jacket encrusted with heavy embroidery. The others are dumbfounded when Kimberley emerges. Charlie picks her up at the house and is dazzled by Kimberley's outfit. He thinks she's "cookin' -- with gas." They go off to the art gallery. Charlie has grown up with art -- his mom's an art teacher while his dad's an art director. Charlie and Kimberley wander around the gallery, glasses of wine in hand, while she offers her comments on paintings. "Makes me want to go to a tropical beach," she says of a painting depicting blue water. A primarily yellow painting reminds her of her uncle's buffalo farm -- "the largest in the world or Canada," says Kimberley. Charlie finds another painting happy in feeling, but to Kim it reminds her of the pajamas she wore the other night. She points out a painting that she likes and Charlie asks why. She tells him it's because the word "SEX" is painted on it. As a little joke, Charlie has brought a few paintings that he'd done as a child and had them hung on the walls of the gallery. Kimberley is impressed by them. Charlie decides to invite her back to his place. He wants more alone time with her before giving her a rose. Back at the house, the women have decided to dress like Kimberley -- she's not the only one who can look hot. They don their "sluttiest" clothes, drink and dance and call their homage to Kim "Hoochfest 2005." It takes them a while to realize it's getting late and there's still no sign of Kim. Where is she? Back at Charlie's house, Kimberley and Charlie look at family photos displayed in frames all around the house. Then they sit on the couch and cuddle. Kimberley runs her bare feet up his leg as they talk. She fiddles with the lower hem of his shirt. Charlie can stand it no longer and gives her a rose. They go off to his room and jump on his bed. Kim tests out his mattress and calls it bouncy. Then she and Charlie get all bouncy with a good make-out session. It's now quite late. The women are sitting around the kitchen table, wondering where Kimberley is. Some of the Bachelorettes think Kim and Charlie are back at his place, while others can't conceive of it. They decide to call Charlie. They don't have his number, but he's called the house before. Anitra tries *69 and gets his number. Charlie answers and tells her Kim is on her way home. The women speculate as to whether or not they had sex. Charlie admits he wanted to but decided it was too soon. There are still other girls involved. The next morning, Kimberley emerges and indicates she didn't spend the night at Charlie's. Sarah B. is relieved to know no sex has taken place. She's considers herself better than Kimberley -- she has morals and values and believes in God. Charlie calls the house. Sarah W. answers, but Charlie greets her heartily as Kindle. Dismayed, Sarah W. corrects him. He invites the women of the group date to go bowling. On the group date, Jenny decides she's going to go for it, be noticed and get a rose. Charlie is a good bowler and knocks down pins with ease. Sarah W. throws gutter balls, leading to some individual attention from Charlie as he tries to instruct her on her technique. Sarah W. is openly affectionate with Charlie and clearly having a great time, but the other women are put off by her behavior. Jenny says unhappily that she feels like she's with Sarah W. and her boyfriend and she's merely one of Sarah W.'s girlfriends. Sarah W. herself feels the same, but in a positive sense. She feels like she's out with friends and the guy she likes -- and that he's all hers. She and Charlie go off for some smoochy time. Sarah B. thinks Sarah W. is definitely going to get the rose that's available on this date, and says so. Krisily is not happy with Sarah W. and complains bitterly about it. She thinks the "W" of Sarah's last name stands for "witch" or "weasel." After finishing their game, the group heads to an adjoining lounge with a pool table. Charlie and Krisily head over to the couch for a chat, but Sarah W. immediately joins them, much to Krisily's displeasure. Sarah B. sits down too. The conversation drifts to questions about Kimberley and Charlie. Krisily says she thought there might be sex involved in their date. Charlie tells her there wasn't, and says that it's not time for that yet. Sarah B. volunteers that she wouldn't ever sleep with someone on the first date. An uncomfortable silence ensues. Then Krisily steals Charlie away for some alone time. Sarah W. settles in for some gossip with Sarah B. She tells Sarah B. that Charlie had told her who the final four women would be, and implied that Sarah B. wasn't one of them. The final four would be: Kim, Krisily, Jenny and Sarah W. She then zings Sarah B. further by remarking that at least Charlie had good taste. Off in a corner with Charlie, Krisily admits to be the "pot-stirrer" of the house. She says it's because she takes the whole process much more seriously than the other girls and not because she's a troublemaker or drama queen. Charlie tells her he stores up his anger and lets it all out at one time. They laugh at the idea that they'd be good at fighting with each other. They agree they'd be good friends and chemistry is something to be determined over their dates. Back at the house, Kara and Kimberley try to figure out what Kara should wear on her date with Charlie. Kara wants to wear a sweater. Kim tells her as long as it's off the shoulder, a sweater would be okay. "Guys love when you show skin," she informs Kara. On the group date, Charlie and Sarah B. finally get some time to talk one-on-one. Sarah tells him she wants a family someday, and they talk about her going to church. Charlie admits he only knows his hymns. At this point he's exhausted and running on autopilot. He only had a few hours of sleep after his date with Kimberley, and the group date is wearing him out. He has a rose to give, and stands there openly contemplating in front of the group. He then he gives Sarah B. the rose. Sarah B. is delighted -- and will no longer trust what Sarah W. says from here on out. Charlie is scheduled to go on an individual date with Kara that very evening, but he calls the house in a near zombie-like state. He tells Kara they'll have their date tomorrow, as he's desperately in need of sleep. To make up for the postponed date, Charlie sends her flowers and an apologetic note. The next day, Charlie calls and asks Kara to go skating in Central Park. He picks her up and she thanks him for the flowers. He thinks she's so sweet but has never dated someone with a child. They skate and chat about Kara's daughter. Two little boys go racing by and Kara gets a chance to watch Charlie interact with kids. They get off the ice and talk seriously. Charlie likes Kara, but decides not to give her a rose. Kara thinks it's for the best. Charlie feels bad but knows they're in a fantasy world at the moment. It's better to cut things off now before it gets more serious and reality intrudes. Back at the house, the women wait for Kara's return. To their surprise, the driver shows up and removes her waiting bags. Charlie calls his older brother Jerry to check in. Jerry is gleeful and tells his little brother not to get into any hot tubs. The day of the Rose Ceremony finally arrives. Only six women will be asked to stay. Sarah B. and Kimberley sit to the side on the "safe" couch. The other five stand. Host Chris gets the new Rose Ceremony cat fight -- uh, free-for-all -- started. Anitra asks Charlie to tell them what he's looking for -- to explain why two very different women received roses this week. Charlie isn't able to answer. He tells them he doesn't know. He admits that he and Kimberley had a great time and made out, which should be no big deal. Sarah W. looks perturbed at the notion of Charlie making out with Kimberley. Jenny announces that she's being overlooked. She doesn't look like Kimberley or act like Sarah W., but she wants Charlie to give her a chance. Charlie says he thinks Jenny looks great. Host Chris asks Jenny what she means about Sarah W. Jenny says she doesn't have an aggressive personality like Sarah W. Kindle chuckles and seconds that. Sarah protests that she doesn't know what they're talking about. Jenny tells her it's not wrong to have an aggressive personality, it's just different from them. On that note, Charlie hands roses to: Krisily Anitra Sarah W. Kindle Jenny is out. Charlie doesn't think he and Jenny are right together, and tells her so. She tells him it's no big deal. But afterwards, she admits to being frustrated. She wasn't going to throw herself at him, they never had any alone time, but he didn't want to give her a chance. She tries to be philosophical, but then starts to cry. Back at the house, Sarah W. is really upset about being called aggressive, but shuts down after a while and tries to downplay the whole thing. Krisily starts yelling at her to be real and defend herself if she's so upset. Sarah W. refuses to talk and says she's being attacked. She's done. Is a bigger blowup in the works? Only time will tell... Episode 4 Air Date: 04/18/2005 Six women remain, and Charlie must narrow it down to four. The four he chooses will be the ones he visits in their hometowns. All the Bachelorettes keep asking him what he's looking for, but he doesn't know. If he did he'd order it out of a mail-order bride book. He calls the house to ask Sarah B. to go horseback riding. She's excited to spend time with him, but nervous about getting bucked off. Her previous experiences with horseback riding have all been bad and left her skittish. Sarah B. sees these one-on-one dates as a double-edged sword. They can either bring you closer together or send you home. She packs up her bags and leaves them by the door. At a snow-covered, picturesque farm, they check out their horses in the stables. They're going to be riding English-style, which Charlie's never done before. As they watch a horse being prepared for riding, the horse gets agitated, scaring Sarah B. She darts behind Charlie and tells him that horse is his. Charlie tells her that when he was nine, his brother did the movie Stand by Me. It was filmed in Oregon over the summer, so Charlie attended rodeo camp in Oregon, where he rode every day. He loved it so much he cried when he left. Charlie notices her nervousness, but she feels a little better knowing he's experienced. Once on the horse, she tries not to freak out, but not long after getting in the saddle, she decides to dismount. Charlie carries her to a fence, where she perches to watch him as he rides. Sarah B.'s impressed by his sensitivity. Meanwhile, back in the city, Sarah W., Krisily, Anitra, Kim and Kindle decide to get out of the house, go shopping and get manicures and pedicures. But the girl bonding doesn't last long. No sooner do they get settled at the nail salon do Sarah W. and Krisily start in on each other. Everyone is very tense and uncomfortable as they tell each other how much they distrust and dislike each other. Kindle tries to interject but they ignore her and keep sniping. Finally Krisily gets so angry that she has to leave. She thinks Sarah W. is selfish and phony, especially around Charlie. Back at the farm, Charlie and Sarah B. are snuggled with cups of hot chocolate amid bales of hay in the stables. They talk about old relationships. Sarah B. tells him she was engaged until a year ago. Charlie tells her about his most recent relationship that ended two summers ago with a woman from Montauk. He tells Sarah B. that his ex is a "crazy bitch" who's been falsely claiming online that they're still dating. Sarah B. tells him she's glad he told her, and her understanding impresses Charlie. He gives her a rose, which clearly thrills her. He comments on how surprised and excited she seemed the last time she received a rose, and asks why. She tells him that Sarah W. had told her she wasn't in the final four. Charlie is shocked to hear that. He doesn't know what to think, but is definitely feeling annoyed. Sarah B. is great and if Sarah W. thinks Sarah B. is competition, she's right. He tells Sarah B. that he's been crazy about her since their first group date. Sarah B. is so glad to be taking Charlie home to meet her family. Sarah B. returns to the house that night, all aglow from her date with Charlie. She excitedly tells the other women about how wonderful Charlie was, gushing about their connection and how important the individual dates are. Sarah W. notices that everyone else is crushed and not happy about Sarah B.'s success. She herself worries about not getting a rose at the next Rose Ceremony. She believes Charlie will be making a huge mistake if he doesn't give her one -- and is really in for it if Krisily gets a rose. The next event for the Bachelorettes is a group date. They'll be learning to fence, which Charlie used to do competitively. Charlie's relieved that no rose is at stake in this date -- he doesn't trust the women with swords. Sarah W. doesn't feel comfortable with Krisily having a sword in her hand. She decides that if Krisily stabs her, she'll have to go to jail and Sarah W. will press a lawsuit at the same time -- the ultimate revenge. Krisily and Charlie go off to talk alone. She tells him she likes him a lot, then tries to warn him off Sarah W. Krisily tells Charlie she'd be sad if he ended up with Sarah W. because she's so fake. Charlie is noncommittal. He knows the women will say stuff against each other and will go with his own gut. When he and Sarah W. get some time alone, he tells her that the other women are saying she might not be here for the right reasons. She says she's aware of what Krisily is saying about her and has experienced such behavior as early as high school. She usually can stay clear of such women but here she can't get away from them. She becomes teary and tells him she still feels a connection. Charlie doesn't know what's going on between those two and really doesn't want to get involved. Then the fencing lesson begins and the women learn to feint, thrust and parry. Host Chris unexpectedly shows up, eliciting a groan from the Bachelorettes. He announces an individual date up for grabs for an evening with Charlie. Host Chris then introduces Paolo, a member of the Italian national team. The women must each face off against Charlie, and Paolo and Host Chris would judge their fencing. Kimberely goes first, followed by Sarah W. Anitra scores a point against Charlie. Next comes Kindle. Meanwhile Krisily is becoming increasingly unhinged, crying because she's claustrophobic and the fencing mask freaks her out. Sarah W. is scornful and thinks Krisily is totally faking it. After much encouragement, a tearful Krisily puts on the mask and faces off briefly against Charlie before ripping off the mask. Charlie gives her an encouraging hug. Paolo awards the individual date to Anitra. Host Chris tells them there will no rose on this date, so there's no need to have her bags packed. Anitra is relieved. The other women congratulate Krisily on trying despite her fears. Sarah W. tells her she respects what she did, but Krisily will have none of it and snaps back at Sarah W. Out on their individual date, Anitra and Charlie have dinner together and try to find something in common. They soon discover they have nothing in common. Anitra loves to eat, has a sweet tooth, is cold all the time and like to communicate via email. Charlie's the opposite in every respect. They both find each other attractive but the lack of things in common gives them pause. Charlie shows up at the Bachelorette house the next morning, flowers in hand. Everyone's still in bed, so he jumps in to giggle and laugh with them in their bunk beds. Charlie notices that upon his arrival, Sarah W. immediately ran to the bathroom to get dressed and put her "Charlie face" on. Charlie drags her out of the bathroom and jokingly orders her to cook breakfast. Krisily takes him aside for some alone time, much to Sarah W.'s fury. Charlie's having a hard time with the decision he'll have to make that night at the Rose Ceremony. He's hoping that hanging with the women will help him decide. But not so fast. Host Chris shows up. To their shock, he tells them there will be a Rose Ceremony right there on the spot. The women are told to go to the Rose Ceremony room immediately. Charlie is blindsided and completely unprepared. Sarah B. sits comfortably on the "safe" couch. The rest stand in front of Charlie in their pajamas and bare feet. Host Chris starts the free-for-all, but this time it's mercifully brief. Kimberley tells Charlie he'd fit in great with her family in Canada. Kindle wants him to come back to her hometown to get to know her, despite the lack of time they've spent together one-on-one. With that, Charlie proceeds to give roses to: Kim (who's so happy she tells him she wants to jump on him) Sarah W. (who's so happy she's scary) Krisily (who's so happy that Sarah W. makes a face) Charlie will be going home with each woman to meet her family and friends. Will sparks fly? Can he charm the folks as thoroughly as he's charmed the women? Find out next week! Episode 5 Air Date: 04/25/2005 It's now down to four Bachelorettes, and Charlie is to visit each woman and her family in her hometown. First up is Sarah W., whose family lives in Corning. Charlie heads to the snowy city in upstate New York to see if the two of them can once again find that ease that they initially had. Their relationship had started out great, but the Bachelorette house cracked Sarah W. She's so on edge that she can't seem to get out a sentence without twitching. At a Corning coffee shop, as the two of them share coffee, Charlie brings up the issue of relations in the Bachelorette house. Sarah W. tells him she was initially above the sniping with Krisily but realized that Krisily was talking smack about her to Charlie. So she tried to put an end to it and got backlash from the others for her trouble -- they hated her. Charlie voices doubts that they hated her. Then he asked her about Sarah B. -- why'd she tell Sarah B. that she wasn't in the final four? Sarah W. is shocked, just shocked, that Sarah B. would say that. She denies it and expresses her indignation. She tells Charlie that she was just listening to Sarah B., that Sarah B. said she was just buddies with Charlie and didn't seem to think she'd be in the final four. All she did was listen to her. She skates around his question and his inquisitive look, but Charlie isn't satisfied. He still wants to know why she said what she said and wonders if Sarah W.'s turning crazy. Sarah W. is outraged by Sarah B. portraying her negatively to Charlie. She could ruin Sarah B., but she won't. At Sarah W.'s family home, her parents and sister greet Charlie warmly. Over drinks, they ask Sarah W. about how things are going in the house, which unleashes a torrent of self-defense. Sarah W. informs them that she's got presence in any room and is a diva that gets noticed, which the other women couldn't handle. Because of that, she tells her family, they want to push her down. Sister Chelsea says Sarah W. isn't used to not getting along with other people, nor is she used to having to compete for a guy. Sarah W.'s dad asks them about their first date. Charlie tells the family it was a group date. The family is slightly appalled but amused. Sarah's father decides to get Charlie outside for a man-to-man talk. He hands Charlie a shovel and has him start clearing snow from the front walk. He thinks Charlie is someone he'd want to have a beer with and tells him so. Charlie is straight up about the fact that he's dating three other women, which Sarah's dad seems to take in stride. Charlie likes Sarah's father so much, he's close to giving him a rose. Over dinner, Sarah's mom asks Charlie what he does for a living. He tells them he's primarily acting, and mentions that he has dance in his background. Sister Chelsea is thrilled -- she's a ballet dancer, and loves the fact that they both had performed in the Nutcracker. Charlie had thought Chelsea would be the tough one to crack in Sarah W.'s family but is pleased to find -- thanks to ballet -- that she's not. Charlie's next hometown visit is to another country altogether. He heads to Edmonton, Canada to visit Kimberley. He's very attracted to her but knows that for it to work between them, they need to hold down a conversation -- and they haven't really done that yet. On her end, Kimberley can't wait to get her paws on him. They ride rollercoasters at a nearby amusement park/shopping center. Afterwards, Charlie and Kimberley go to her family's restaurant, The Pyrogy House, where Charlie meets mom Marge, dad Robert, brother Darcy and sister Brenda. Dad Robert breaks out bottles of beer, while Kim's mom makes Charlie help assemble pyrogies in the kitchen. Mom Marge is so taken with Charlie and his pyrogy-making skills, she fantasizes about him marrying her daughter, taking over the Pyrogy House and letting her and Kim's dad retire. Meanwhile, Kimberley is so impatient to get her hands on Charlie that she drags him back to the kitchen to "help with dessert." But Charlie is a gentleman and doesn't want to fool around in mom and dad's shop. After a great time with the family, Charlie and Kimberley take advantage of their free evening to go to a trendy Edmonton bar. To their surprise, rejected Bachelorette Jenny walks in, with Kim's ex-boyfriend Jason in tow. Jason asks Kimberley for a moment alone, which she resists. Finally she relents. He asks her if there's a connection between her and Charlie, and tries to compare it to their old relationship. He asks if Charlie could be a "meatball connection" in the way he and Kimberley were (You're my meatball! No, you are!). He brings up the fact that he and Kimberley lived together for a year, infuriating Kim and sparking profanities from her. Jason wants Kimberley to slow down and think. Things appear to be happening so fast that his former meatball could potentially wind up engaged to Charlie. Meanwhile Jenny has Charlie pinned down at the bar, complaining that she doesn't know what he was looking for as everyone was so different. Charlie knows that whatever he's looking for, it's not Jen in Edmonton. He tells her he doesn't think they'd be good together and Jen is embarrassed at his frankness. Finally Kim and Charlie get rid of Jenny and Jason and Kim is free to inform Charlie about her past with Jason. Charlie is impressed with how she handled the whole situation, and finally allows her to get close with a good makeout session outside the bar. The next visit is to Sarah B. in Dallas. Charlie meets her at the hospital where she works. He feels like they want to be more than just buddies but are both a little gun shy. Sarah B. wonders if Charlie fits in her life. She feels like her life is in order, with a good job and her own house. She's not as concerned with whether she fits in his life. At her house, Charlie meets her dog Lucy and is instantly smitten. While he waits for Sarah B. to change out of her nurse's scrubs, he's cuddlier with Lucy than he's ever been with Sarah. As they relax in her living room, she tells him she isn't set on staying in Texas and is open to going elsewhere. But just as they start to feel more comfortable with each other, her family shows up: mom Susie, dad Jerry, sister Rachel and brother John. Sarah's mom wants to know if it's possible to get to know each other in such a short time. Charlie admits that he usually meets family after 6-8 months of dating. Sarah B. tries to reassure her family that she and Charlie have a great relationship -- they're like two kids. Sister Rachel privately voices her concern to Sarah. She thinks Charlie seems to be spouting rehearsed answers. Sarah B. admits she hasn't kissed him yet and Rachel advises her not to. Sarah B. sees holding out as a game of sorts to keep him hanging on. Meanwhile, dad Jerry asks about Charlie's motives. Charlie wisely tells him he's not playing the field and wants to find the right girl. Rachel takes Charlie aside to ask him if he sees things with Sarah heading towards friendship or a relationship. He admits he's kissing other girls and not kissing Sarah -- but he respects her and is looking forward to kissing her. Rachel asks Charlie point-blank if he's just doing the show to boost his acting career. He tells her no -- that acting is something he does but isn't his greatest love. He hasn't figured it out his greatest love yet. Rachel pointedly suggests that he should be figuring that out. He agrees, but wants her to know that he's supporting himself, making a living and doing well. Rachel, still skeptical, says their lifestyles are so different and asks where they would live. Charlie assures her that he likes her sister and has good intentions. Rachel comes out of the conversation supportive but still unsure of their prospects. The biggest questions for Charlie on this visit were whether he and Sarah B. had chemistry and could they live together in the same city. But those weren't answered on this trip. Like a sixth grader, he's running away from the girl he likes. Charlie's last hometown visit is to see Krisily in Warwick, Rhode Island. He thinks the sparks will fly and that he faces a tough grilling from her family -- because Krisily is a tough girl. For her part, Krisily is excited and feels that the date is significant. She's in the final four and she's never even had a one-on-one date with Charlie. Krisily takes Charlie to the hair salon where she works. Her cousin Michelle, who owns the salon, gives Charlie a haircut and asks him some tough questions. She tells him Krisily had to be peeled off the floor from her last break-up, and she doesn't want to see her cousin get hurt. Charlie reassures her that he's not messing around -- he's looking for the right girl for him. Michelle tells him that if he decides Krisily's not It, he has to let her go as soon as he knows. At Krisily's family's house, Charlie meets her loud boisterous family: mom Cheryl, grandmother Nana, stepdad Bob and aunt Laurie. Charlie is surprised with a framed portrait of himself among the family photos, which Krisily's family has put up as a joke. Over dinner, they waste no time in grilling him. Then they tell Charlie and Krisily to go kiss, which throws Charlie off-guard. He begs for some alone time with Krisily, in part to have some peace and quiet. After they leave the dining table, Nana says she can tell he hasn't made up his mind. On the porch, Krisily and Charlie admit they both feel good around each other. They start kissing while Nana and Krisily's mom spy on them. Later, when she's alone with her mother, Krisily confides that she's scared and doesn't want to get hurt. She's becoming so attached and wants to get to know him. Meanwhile, Nana cuts a rug in the living room with Charlie and shows him how to bump and grind. She's outrageous and Charlie's totally taken with her. He gives Nana a rose, which thrills her. Before he heads back, Charlie and Krisily cuddle for a while. He loves her family. He's going to have a tough time deciding. After he leaves, Nana tells Krisily that she needs to get Charlie into bed and use her powers of seduction. Krisily is mortified. Back in Manhattan, the four Bachelorettes reunite for the Rose Ceremony. This time, there's no "safe" couch and no cat-fight session. Instead, the four of them stand quietly waiting for Charlie to hand out three roses. He tells them they're all great and that he's having a tough time making a decision. Before he can get all the words out, he starts choking up and can barely hold in his tears. Host Chris gives him a moment to get a grip, and then the fun begins. Charlie gives roses to: Sarah B. Krisily Sarah W. Charlie tells Kim he had a great time with her family, and wants her to know she did nothing wrong. He didn't know who he would choose until the last second and knows that Kimberley didn't see it coming. He didn't even see it coming. She feels like a train hit her, but at the same time remembers Charlie crying. Obviously it was hard for him to see her go. That seems to take away a little of the sting. Next up is a round of individual romantic getaways. Will Charlie and Sarah B. find chemistry? Will he and Sarah W. get back that loving feeling? Or will Krisily impress Charlie with her spunk and sass? Find out next week! Episode 6 Air Date: 05/02/2005 It's down to three women, and the Bachelor is set to enjoy a romantic getaway date with each one. However, unbeknownst to the Bachelorettes, all three dates are at the same location: an exclusive resort on the Caribbean island of Aruba. Charlie is hoping he doesn't bump into the other women while he's on a date. Sarah B. is thrilled to be there, on a date with just her and Charlie. Sarah W. is psyched to leave the other women freezing in NY. Krisily is excited about her getaway trip, as she has never been out of the country. Each one of them is being driven to the resort in separate SUVs. Host Chris Harrison greets them upon arrival, which is timed so that all three get to the resort at the same time -- much to their surprise and dismay. He informs the women that for the first time, all three overnight dates are at the same resort and the Rose Ceremony will be taking place there as well. Charlie will call each woman when it's time for her date with him. Sarah B. is not particularly thrilled about having to sit around the resort and wait for Charlie to call. Krisily also doesn't feel too great, seeing her long-awaited alone time with Charlie marred by the presence of the others. But she's determined not to let it get to her -- not in a beautiful place like this. Charlie calls Sarah W. first. She gets decked out in a little olive green bikini to meet Charlie for some fun with all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). She knows she's an adventurous, fun, wild girl -- there's no way the other women can compete. Charlie hasn't gotten to see that, so she must make an impression. Charlie's concerned because the last couple of times he's seen Sarah W., she gets nervous and choked up and says she won't be nervous the next time. He's hoping the ATVs will break the ice and help them connect the way they did on their first date. On their ATVs, they race each other, and Sarah W. makes him eat her dust. They break for a picnic by the beach and go for a dip in the ocean, where they make out. Sarah W. is glad Charlie's getting a chance to see her adventurous fun side, which is the biggest part of her. She's bad at being serious and stressed out, which she's been lately. She feels like the date is getting better and better as the day wears on. A brightly colored musical bus comes to pick them up and take them back to the resort. They hop aboard, dance and rattle maracas all the way back. Meanwhile, Krisily hangs in the pool at the resort. She's a bit of a jealous girlfriend, esp. with two other women in the picture. That night, Sarah W. and Charlie enjoy a torch lit dinner on the beach. It feels like they have been dating for a long while. They agree that there's no questions about their relationship that have come up over the course of their date. They both just want to have fun and it's a great match. Krisily decides to take a walk on the beach, with no idea that she will run across Sarah W. and Charlie on their date. She peeks at them from a distance, hidden by stacks of beach chairs. It's hard for her to see him with Sarah W. but she hopes Charlie will make the right decision in the end. Sarah W. and Charlie decide to have a swim-off. They jump into the ocean and wind up making out some more. The next in line to spend time with Charlie is Sarah B. Charlie calls her to go sailing. He had great time with her on their last date, meeting her family in Dallas. But he hasn't kissed her yet. He doesn't mind taking things slow, and she knows he's kissing other girls. But now they're in Aruba -- and people kiss in Aruba. Sarah B. likes Charlie, but her guard is up. Two other women are there on the island too, and she brings it up when she and Charlie are on the boat. Charlie says he just wants to figure out if he can fall in love -- find who's best for him. Sarah B. tells him that she's been engaged before, and that breaking it off was best thing she ever did. Engagement shouldn't be taken lightly and she wants the two of them to work towards something that's realistic. Charlie understands that she is trying to be realistic, and likes her more for it. They swing from the boat into the water to go for a swim. They cuddle on the deck, relaxing together. Finally Charlie begs for a kiss and she lets him kiss her at last. She tells him she's making him work for it and he agrees, jokingly complaining he's doing back flips. He's not above begging. That evening, Krisily treats herself to a nice dinner on her own, when Sarah W. comes over, seeking her out. Sarah W. tells Krisily she's cool with her as long as Krisily and Charlie don't spend time on their date talking about Sarah W. Krisily retorts that she can't be cool with someone who called her a drama queen bitch the last time they saw each other (cue flashback to the manicure salon where Sarah W. goes off on Krisily). Krisily tells Sarah W. it's a waste of time to talk about her. It's not about the two of them getting along, it's about Charlie, and Krisily doesn't think they need to worry about anything else. Sarah W. makes a show of agreeing but secretly thinks Krisily is too immature to know what she's talking about. Krisily laughs to herself in disbelief after Sarah W. leaves. Meanwhile, Charlie and Sarah B. enjoy dinner together. They had a great time on the boat, shared their first kiss, and Charlie just wants to build on their relationship. He won't go too fast -- he's just respecting Sarah B. Over dinner she tells him her job is flexible and that if they're to be together, she'll do what she has to do and move. Charlie says he's not locked down. She responds that she's not either. They both admit to having a great time, and kiss and cuddle at the table. Sarah B. tells Charlie she feels lucky because he makes her feel safe and he makes her laugh, which she loves. She's been engaged before and knows what she wants and is looking for. He asks her to come back to his place since they haven't had much time alone. She agrees and they hang out for a while in his suite. He tells her that he was nervous about the date, fearing he hadn't shown her that he liked her. She tells him it was a perfect date, but doesn't feel like she can stay the night. He reassures her, telling Sarah B. that he doesn't see the point in rushing things or blowing what they'd built that day. But privately he wonders if she's holding out on him, if she really likes him. Charlie has reservations, but the two of them aren't getting enough time together and he's running out of time. It's time for the last date. Charlie calls Krisily to invite her on a trip to a private island. Charlie is attracted to Sarah W. and has a crush on Sarah B. He's trying to figure out what Krisily has that the other two don't. For her part, Krisily feels like a better person around him, like a little kid, and tells him so. She's never been abroad before and absolutely loves this date. She shares that she feels good around him and finds him sensitive -- something important to her. They chill out on the beach of the private island and chat. They then go snorkeling. Afterwards they flirt and make out while showering off the sea water. Sarah W. relaxes on the beach -- she's not too worried about Charlie with other people. Krisily and Charlie ride a catamaran back to the hotel from the island. While they're speeding back over the water, Krisily witnesses her first sunset. First trip abroad, first time on a catamaran, first sunset -- Charlie is glad to give these firsts to her. Back at the resort, they share dinner. Charlie's scared because there's two other women that he's still trying to decide on while Krisily's already decided he's right for her. It's terrifying. But Krisily wants to be up front and show him everything she's feeling, just in case he does send her home. That way she won't have any regrets. During the meal, she tells Charlie she thought he might be out of her league. She's a product of her background -- she's always had to work and her family's not close knit, but she thinks she turned out well. He tells her this isn't a typical date for him either that and she could even be out of his league. He sees how happy she is to be there and it means a lot to him. They go back to his place for a cocktail. Elsewhere at the resort, Sarah B. sees Sarah W. walking by, and calls out to her to share a drink. Sarah W. asks how her date went. Sarah B. is enthusiastic, telling her it's the best date she ever had. Sarah B. is comfortable talking about all the details, as she's feeling confident. Sarah W. isn't threatened to hear about Sarah B.'s fabulous date because there's no way Sarah B. is as fun as she is. The two Sarahs speculate about Krisily and Charlie's date. They don't think snorkeling was a part of the date since Krisily is claustrophobic about masks. Sarah B. asks if Sarah W. has seen Krisily at the resort. Sarah W. says Krisily was cold and not open to being friends with her. Back at Charlie's suite, Krisily and Charlie cuddle and kiss. They had such a romantic date, Charlie thinks he could love her. Krisily tells him she wants to stay over but is scared that if she did and she never saw him again, she would be devastated. Charlie tells her he wants her to stay the night and they'll figure things out later -- that he's not out to hurt her. So she does. The day of the Rose Ceremony arrives. Charlie feels like he can make a confident decision. Sarah W. is so confident. If Charlie doesn't choose her, he's an idiot. Krisily would be sad if he didn't choose her. Sarah B. would be sort of bummed. At the beachside ceremony, each woman says her piece to Charlie. After each Bachelorette has her say, Charlie hands out roses. He calls: Sarah Which one? Both Sarahs freeze. Charlie corrects himself, and asks for: Sarah B. One rose left. Charlie offers it to: Krisily Charlie walks Sarah W. out. She asks him one question: "Why?" He tells her they were off to great start, but that there were awkward moments he hoped they'd figure out during their alone time. But the awkward moments were still there, and he had to make a decision today. Sarah W. wishes him luck. On the ride back to the airport, Sarah W. is upset. She's a way better catch than the other women. His decision sickens her -- it's a big mistake and he's wasted two roses. Charlie feels he tried so hard to make a connection and it didn't happen. She is going to miss Charlie -- she's spent so much time thinking about him. She believes she's such a sweet girl and a good catch. People are just mean to her because of the way she looks. They hate her because she's beautiful. It's a curse and a blessing to be pretty. If she had been uglier and not as noticeable, maybe things would be different. There's a huge prejudice against beautiful women. Charlie knows now it's possible to fall in love. He's so excited for the future.
